Alex provides unbelievable value. This isn’t just a haircut... - it felt in some moments more like a gourmet spa, and in others like a cozy pub where the bartender immediately puts you at ease and starts talking to you like an old friend. Alex is so obviously a master of his craft, and part of his mission is to teach people how to properly and naturally care for their hair and scalp. I learned so much while also receiving the best haircut of my life. The atmosphere is beautiful with plants and relaxing bossa nova (I want his playlist) - and some fun nostalgic quirks like a Nintendo 64 displayed in the window.Being a visitor to Amsterdam, I never thought my haircut would be the experience I would be talking about the most after returning home. I must emphasize that it's a complete grooming package for men, and Alex always takes the time to craft a look that complements the shape of your face, while also trimming if needed your beard, eyebrows, and other facial hair. Whenever I'm at HED Barber I notice the calming ambiance that exudes Brazilian vibes, making me feel like I'm on a vacation. UPDATE: Still the best barber in Amsterdam, I got my beard... cut for my brothers wedding, my beard looked amazing after the cut, I got the full royal treatment. The best part was my beard looked so good for months after as it grew out, not something I have experienced with many barbers with my beard.The shop has an amazing relaxed vibe, the haircut I got was amazing by very professional staff. I paid for the high standard haircut and everything was provided as described on the website, including drink, head massage and wash.I will definitely be returning for my next haircut and the great conversation.read more
